There are some new Hua Hin hotels in the Takiab beach area, it seems to be busier than before with new hotels opening and being built, it is still a nice quiet area though.

The Boat Lodge Hua hin is a small boutique resort that is about 5 minutes walk from the beach at Takiab Bay in Hua Hin. The rooms are very pleasant, try the rooms in the Lighthouse building for something very different. The Boat Lodge has a small but nice swimming pool and is close to the village and also only about 7 km south of the centre of Hua Hin town. The Boat Lodge is good value for money for somewhere to stay in the Khao Takiab area of Hua Hin.

If you want the best beach then I agree the Hua Don Beach Hua Hin - Khao Takiab area of Hua Hin wins outright, along by the Hyatt and further to the Kaban Tamor is very nice. The Bay at Khao Takiab which is a little further is quiet and really nice, I enjoyed the rock formations at the end of the beach, very nice and always a cool sea breeze, we have cycled there from Kaban Tamor easily, very nice area to stay in.
