Southeast from Bangkok are Pattaya and Jomtien, about 90 minutes from Bangkok by road. To the south of Bangkok the beaches at Cha Am are about 2 hours by road,
Hua Hin is about another 20 minutres past Cha Am. Some ideas for beaches near
Bangkok and resorts.
For a small and quiet tropical island near Bangkok, continue beyond Pattaya towards Rayong for Koh Samet Island.

It does make it easy getting to a Thai beach just taking a taxi, bus or train, so the beaches near Bangkok remain popular with many.
 Thailand hotels last minute rates and reservations and also discount rates for advance bookings for hotels,
resorts and other accommodation in Thailand that are close to bangkok, including Pattaya, Jomtien Beach, Koh Samet, Cha Am, Hua Hin and Pranburi, local prcies.
