Registered Member Travel Forum Posts: 455 Mon, 14 Apr, 2008 00:37:52 Moderator	Hs anyone any news when the Balivana will open, I read about it in a magazine that it will open in a few months but I cannot find anything else about the Balivana in Hua Hin yet. May 1st 2008 - Updated I can now advise some more details. The bungalows can be rented for weekly periods ( minimum 5 nights ) only now. You can have the option of including either Continental or Cooked Breakfast or you can do your own breakfast. There are discounts for 2 week rentals. You get daily mai serice, towels and sheets changed on a regular basis. The beach is about 80 meters from the bungalows. The Summer promotion rates are qyite good. These are for rest and relaxation, it is not a hotel ! But you gewt cosy accommodation near the beach and local village area, and Hua Hin town is about 10 minutes by road. You can walk 10 minutes to the local pick-up-bus stop to go to and from town during the day, though in the evenings you need taxi or tuk - tuuk. Taxis are available a short walk from Balivana. Note they get heavily booked as it is not easy at all to find bungalows or cottages for holidays in Hua Hin. Registered Member Travel Forum Posts: 2375 Mon, 14 Apr, 2008 00:37:53	From what I have read in the press it will be small boutique accommodation, though I am not certain, the design is a mix of Balinese style and Thai style. From what I know the plan is to offer relaxing spa at very 'reasonable' prices, which is better than some of the very expensive spa treatments there are now, some are very expensive so it will be nice if the Balivana has good prices.

We need to see what the rates will be but sounds nice.

Registered Member Travel Forum Posts: 613 Mon, 14 Apr, 2008 00:37:53 Moderator	I think The Balivana opens in June in the Takiab Bay area of Hua Hin, it looks small and nice with a very Thai style. Balivana has a photo of the main building. Lovely trees and gardens.
